Manager training programme China

Description:

A delegation of 20 managers from medium-sized companies in China recently visited Dörken MKS in Herdecke. The focus of the high-level visit lay above all on opportunities for bilateral co-operation, networking and the communication of expert know-how on the subject of corrosion protection.

Highlighting the international capabilities of Dörken MKS

The visit took place within the scope of the “Manager training programme China”, initiated by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The objective is mutual exchange, getting to know the respective other culture and the establishment of long-term business relationships. Dr. Gerhard Reusmann, Managing Director of Dörken MKS, explains: “As an exemplary German Mittelstand company, we want to take the opportunity offered by this programme to underscore our international capabilities and show the representatives of Chinese industry how we act and co-operate to a high level of quality, worldwide.“

Interesting programme in THE CORROSION COLLEGE

As a consequence, the managers – mostly drawn from the metalworking and automotive supply sector – could look forward to a highly interesting programme at THE CORROSION COLLEGE in Herdecke. After the introduction by Dr. Gerhard Reusmann, Tobias Kleyer (Technology Manager) gave a presentation of Dörken MKS-Systeme, explaining both processes and areas of expertise. Andrej von Hofmann (General Manager Dörken MKS Shanghai) detailed the work and comprehensive quality management in China. In the subsequent tour of the company the visitors made stops at the TechCenter as well as the testing centre – where the participants obtained information on research activities, the latest corrosion protection systems and test procedures. The day was rounded off with an interesting “manager to manager” question and answer session with Dr. Gerhard Reusmann. In the end, the participants all agreed: The foundations have been laid for many fruitful commercial relationships.
