New Delhi

For the 8th time, the VDA organised an official German communal stand at the leading Indian car fair, the AUTO EXPO. The automotive fair is held every two years on the Pragati Maidan exhibition site, this time from 8 to 11 February 2018. With over 1,500 exhibitors from 20 countries and 110,000 trade visitors, it is the leading Indian automotive supplier fair.

Numerous German suppliers, including Dörken MKS-Systeme, were represented at the German Pavilion, which was co-sponsored by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. All companies use their participation to establish new contacts in the growing Indian market, further expand the network of German companies operating in India and extend the reputation for quality of German-made products on the expanding Indian market. The strategically good position of the communal stand in Hall 7 ABC ensured that no interested trade visitor could fail to see the presentation of state-of-the-art German automobile technology.

The Dörken MKS-Systeme team was able to welcome major OEMs such as Daimler India, Suzuki, Mahindra, Marutti and Tata, as well as interested tiers such as Bossard and Brose to the stand, where numerous stimulating trade discussions were conducted.

Once again, an extensive programme of conferences and meetings took place parallel to the fair, including an event on the subject of “Corrosion in Auto and Auto Component Industry”, which took place at the India Habitat Center in New Delhi on 9 February. Here Onnen von Bredow, Head of Asia Pacific, spoke to an audience of over 200 experts on the subject of “high corrosion protection with zinc flake systems – performance and application”.
