Round table at the Corrosion College of Dörken MKS

Description:

Representatives of the Agrati Group have paid a two-day visit to Dörken MKS in Herdecke. In the modern Corrosion College the visiting employees learned about the latest technology in the field of corrosion protection and screw fittings.

A comprehensive insight into the application process

For many years now Agrati Group – a well-known manufacturer of fasteners for nearly all automobile manufacturers worldwide – and Dörken MKS have co-operated closely on various development projects. Against this background, the objective was to provide the new employees of the partner company with an overview of Dörken MKS and the technologies of the corrosion protection experts. After an introduction the Dörken specialists explained the product portfolio on a tour of the company, using various components to detail what is required for efficient coating. The visitors were able to experience the application preparations and annealing process first hand. In conclusion, the Agrati employees participated in a round table discussion with Dörken MKS experts. This involved interaction with experts from the fields of R&D, marketing, analytics and technology, as well as the opportunity to ask questions, discuss specific corrosion protection applications and look back upon the events of the day.

Focus on fastening technology

On the second day of training the centre of attention lay on current fastening technology – in the course of this Dörken MKS expert Michael Stähler explained the role played by co-efficients of friction for fasteners and how these can be set to meet all requirements with the aid of a high-performance coating system. The Agrati team was highly satisfied at the end of two informative days of training: “I learned a lot about the work philosophy and products of Dörken MKS and I have managed to expand my specialist knowledge. My expectations have been more than fulfilled”, said the Technical purchasing manager.
